Monitoring and evaluation is built into the design of the NRich ECCE program, and structured baseline (pre-launch) and endline (at the end of the academic year) assessments help us gauge the readiness and progress levels of students respectively.
As we get ready to launch our program at Shishu Shiksha Kendras in Patharpratima, our field facilitators conducted baseline assessments in our partner schools. The insights collected will help the team to finalize the activities for different grades and schools.
A similar baseline assessment was also conducted for pre-primary children of the ICDS (Anganwadi) centres in March 2026.
For two of our partner schools in Howrah, where the program has been running for a year, our team conducted endline assessments for primary grades to track progress and uptake of our learning modules. Most of the children demonstrated clear improvement in foundational literacy and numeracy, moving into higher performance categories compared to the initial assessments.
